vnc-3.3.3r2: description + notes

VNC stands for Virtual Network Computing. It is, in essence, a remote display system which allows you to view a computing 'desktop' environment not only on the machine where it is running, but from anywhere on the Internet and from a wide variety of machine architectures.

This package includes both an X viewer and a java based viewer so its possible to access your 'desktop' from inside Netscape.

The Perl script used to start the server (vncserver) is marked as a config file so you can edit it and not lose any changes at an upgrade.

Zmail does not like running with a TrueColor Visual (the default), it needs a PseudoColor one.
